Phonological Interference in English Pronunciation Produced by Students at Senior High School (A Case Study of Buginese and Javanese Students)

This research discussed the Buginese and Javanese phonological interference factors that influenced case from students in senior high school. The method was used this qualitative research. researchers collected data with nine fricative consonants (f, v, ?, ð, s, z, ?, ?, h) by reading test, recording interview, then analyzed theory Weinreich (1979). object of Senior High School 2 East Luwu. showed produced are only two three kinds Crystal (2003). From students, found one category which sound replacements on consonant {f}, meanwhile categories interference, were addition {h} replacement {?}. On other hand, there caused research, such as bilingual background disloyalty to target language. related mentioned (1979).
